Welcome to Günther – the manufacturer of “ANYTHING THAT FLIES”
from Eggenfelden in Lower Bavaria - over 70 years young and as attractive today as it was back then! Children need nature and flying kites or rubber motor models opens their senses to wind and weather. Günther flying games stand for simple, reliably functioning, environmentally friendly technology and nature-loving, active outdoor play.
For over 70 years, we have been the developer and producer in Germany of ‘EVERYTHING THAT FLIES’, classic children's kites, dynamic sports kites, easy-to-use rubber motor models, glider models, spin gliders and other attractive flying games. And for playing on the water, there are sailing boats with the typical red and white hull. There is hardly an adult who has not played with one of these Günther products in their youth. Incidentally, the Spatz catapult glider is probably one of the best-selling ‘planes’ in the world, with over 5 million units sold. In addition to our own products of kites and flying games, we also supply specialist toy retailers and consumer markets with licensed kites with extremely popular motifs that delight children in many countries around the world.

Quality and functionality by tradition
Looking back, I must have been about eight years old when I flew my first kite with my brothers and sisters – even all that time ago it was an eagle kite made by Günther. Today, as managing director of Günther and responsible among other things for new in-house developments, I still fly kites; although this is often for business reasons – testing the flight properties of our new kites – I still get as much enjoyment out of “flying” as I did back then. And I’m pleased to see that more and more parents and their children are reverting to active outdoor play rather than inactive computer games.
